Lamnidis Law at The Economist 30th Annual Government Roundtable
By Lamnidis Law — 10 July 2026

Lamnidis Law attended the 30th The Economist Annual Government Roundtable in Athens, participating in insightful conversations and sharing views on current issues and mega-trends.
During the three-day event, under the theme "Progress in an age of upheaval", heads of state, ministers and business leaders debated Europe's path through geopolitical rivalry, energy security and rapid technological change.
Questions and topics which consistently resolved into legal and regulatory ones, with energy acting as a prime example. The transformation of Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean as a genuine energy hub is, in its core, a question of investment frameworks, cross-border regulation and the rules that make capital willing to commit.
The same is true of EU enlargement, of AI governance, and of the business-environment reforms that everyone agrees are needed and few find easy to deliver.
This year's Economist Annual Government Roundtable acted as a reminder that policy ambition and legal architecture are inseparable.
